Privacy Policy
This notice discloses the privacy practices for Self-Directed Retirement Solutions, and the website. Congress enacted the Financial Services Modernization Act (also knows as "Gramm-Leach-Bliley," or PL 106-102) which brought significant changes to the way banks and financial services companies maintain and disseminate information they gather with respect to their clients. Part of the Act requires financial service providers, including those who provide tax planning services, to describe to their clients how personal information about them is collected, disclosed, and maintained.

In the course of facilitating financial information, we are committed to protecting the privacy of the information our clients entrust to us. We are subject to rules of professional conduct, as well as, provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, which requires client information to be kept strictly confidential. While we do not believe that Gramm-Leach-Bliley has altered our responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of our clients' personal information, the Act requires us to provide our clients with this notice regarding our privacy policy and practices.

Collection of Information
In the normal course of providing our clients with financial information, we collect nonpublic personal information from the following sources:
  • directly from the client; and
  • from government agencies and other third party sources, including information about the clients' transactions.
We do not collect this information via our website, but do so over the phone and by facsimile. It is in this way that the client always knows what data has been released to us.

Disclosure of Information
We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our clients or former clients to anyone, except as permitted by law or previously authorized in writing by the client. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

Maintenance of Information: Confidentiality and Security
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about our clients to those employees who need to know the pertinent information to provide services to the client. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard our clients' nonpublic personal information.
